Now an old image of any piece of paper can be dragged to Google-Doc and the Google-Doc will auto type the text into editable document, this technologies is called OCR scanning which was proposed at Google Data API blog lately.

To test this new functionality just grab a scanned image of any piece of paper around you. Drag the image file to Google-Doc and you will find the image is converted into a text file which is ready to be edited.

Happy Docing !!

Rumors prevailed in market that the Google is silently working on new project against Facebook. Yes Google is preparing a complete website like the Facebook. After the failure of projects like Orkut, Buzz and Google Wave. The Google team is planning to give a fresh look and start for the new project that will give strong competition to Facebook.  Kevin Rose the CEO of Digg.com tweeted about the rumor which added fuel to the news. On the other hand, in an conference Mr.Eric Schmidt, Chairman of Google.Inc stated that "World do not need the copy of anything that is already in market".

His statement clearly indicates that something is cooking behind the Google office that too unique and have new edge and blend to existing social networking market. I believe Google is taking social networking domain seriously and working hard this time to make their product successful rather facing a fiasco again.
